THE EVERY GIRL
As
ladies we all
need a quick dose of style and creativity especially now when the weather is
so gloomy but sometimes getting winter fashion can be very expensive and out of our budget …look no
further because your problems are over.
As a young woman who loves
fashion, but also being a student l usually can’t afford the kind of style that
I would want so l came up with a few solutions for the “every girl”.
We all have friends at home
,varsity or work and if you and your friend wear the same size there is your
solution already ..pick out a girls night and trade the clothes you are tired
of with your friends and you will feel like you have a new wardrobe at no cost,
trust me this tried and tested.
Redefine your own fashion, the
term fashion shouldn’t shove images expensive clothes in your head , redefine
what fashion means for you. Pick affordable, comfortable and stylish pieces
that best flatter your figure, social media has the tendency to make designer
clothes even the ugly to look ultra-chic and glamorous but it’s not always the
case you can still look very chic with inexpensive clothes, for inspiration you
can follow local zimbabwean bloggers @deemasiya @hollywoodlee1.
In my experience a young woman
needs a few basics to be fashionable and these items include a basic black
dress, a crisp white shirt, fitted pair of jeans, a basic blazer ,a day dress
and a pair of boots and you are good to go . Once you have some of the basics
in place , all of the beautiful clothes you see on social media can then be
explored. Don’t feel defeated because you feel like you can’t look like the
girls you see on social media because you will be surprised how much style
actually costs , if you focus too much on latest trends you will be buying
clothes every two weeks because fashion trends keep changing but style remains
so rather invest in your personal style rather than trends .
Has anyone heard of pinterest?
Coz they are a lot of easy to follow tutorials about refashioning old clothes
into modern trendy clothes and all you need is a some scissors and old clothes
l swear by pinterest , it has helped me come up with so many new outfits from
old clothes,,Ladies this is the age of social media let us take advantage of it
and look our best.
Finally look for local clothing
labels like goddess by Fatima and dutchess couture (Instagram usernames) ,you
will find that they have trendy clothes at very affordable prices and they are
home grown, you will be supporting local brands as well.
Fashion is not only for the
rich and working class, the “every girl” can be stylish as well on budget .
